The new Marlins ballpark, located near downtown Miami is on track to become the first Silver LEED certified ballpark with a retractable roof in the country. However, one of the most difficult LEED challenges for an open-air ballpark is optimizing its energy performance. The Marlins turned to Trane to install 50 energy efficient air handler units and a chilled water system to maintain a 75 degree indoor air temperature when the stadium roof is closed. Trane’s solution helped the Marlins meet the 15 percent savings standard for LEED certification while delivering a comfortable environment for fans, players and employees. Trane went beyond providing systems and services to bring the Marlins a full building automation solution, including training stadium engineers on ‘when’ and ‘how’ to operate chillers and cooling towers to ensure the building runs efficiently.

@Phillysports1000 Theirs over 160 games in a year so yeah.Once this new stadium is built we would have a crowd and than we won’t be the worst paid team every year.A Rod has a bigger salary than the whole 30 man marlins roster and we always seem to manage to win… P.S.
