Green Remodeling
——————-

My parents are remodeling their basement. They recently purchased a sectional that is a very very light green. It has stripes of light blue and yellow in it. The stripes are very unnoticeable, but could be brought out with the right pillows or decor. I am struggling to find a paint color. The trim is white and we also have a alder wood bar on the opposite end of the room. It is a long and farely narrow room. I need ideas
Thanks!!!

I would think a medium to light peachy/orange tone would be great. Of course, this opinion is worth just what you paid for it! Seriously, all the other tones in the room are cool and warm tones would be a nice contrast.
Basements usually have no or minimal windows which means little natural light. I wouldn’t go dark then. And though the stripes aren’t that noticeable if you choose a contrasting paint color they most certainly will be! You’ve got 3 colors already competing in the sofa alone and I’m sure it’s not going to be the only piece of furniture down there. Sounds like you’re going to have to go neutral – some shade of off white to brown, anywhere inbetween. Actually a think a tan would be nice since your sofa has those other colors of nature in it.
