Green Remodeling
——————-

My room is being remodeled. Im doing it as a green room and i was thinking about making scenic walls with grass at the bottom, a sky with clouds, and a tree on the wall with green carpet and everything but im not sure how i can do this. I wanted brown walls but the tree would blend wit it but cant do the walls green cuz the carpet will be green. I cant work out a color scheme or figure out how to do the walls with the big tree. Any tips on how to do this?

paint it a light blue then the grass then the tree!

You could certainly paint your walls whatever color you wanted. Use different shades of green for the grass if you paint the wall green, or different shades of brown for the tree trunk if you paint your walls brown. Don’t be limited to trying to be “authentic” with green grass, blue sky etc. Be artistic in your approach. You can get the same affect even if your background (wall) color is not blue for sky etc.

If you want to keep with an authentic looking tree, sky, etc then you might consider painting just one wall cream, white or light tan and painting just that wall with your grass, tree and sky. Then you can paint the other three walls whatever color you want. And don’t forget to paint the ceiling a color. White ceilings are so blah. Painting the ceiling warms up a room and pulls all the colors to a cohesive conclusion.

Here are some pictures of trees on walls of color that may inspire you:

I especially like how this tree goes all the way up the wall and onto the ceiling. You could then paint the ceiling a light blue with clouds. Would be a nice affect.

As for your green carpet, I would not go with a dark green or trying to match “grass green” as it can be overwhelming in a room. Something subtle that reminds you of green grass is better. Which can be a shade and tone, like moss green or light green. Even doing a more neutral carpet can represent “sand”. A nice berber with a pebbly texture or color in it would be nice. Like this:

This carpet hold up well to foot traffic and stains very well! Nice price on it too.
