only green thing is the surroundings.
way to pretentious to be named green.
by the way, modern ideas such as living machines are quite outdated, even worse if it is actually just a aesthetic issue
also nice way to waste energy heating that stuff, no way to use such windows in an optimized way concerning solar radiation

From this animation it’s obvious you don’t know how to do a topographical study, a solar study or any other type of study. It looks like something a child who’s learning a 3D program would come up with to look “cool”. Oh and rethink your “loft”. Theres nothing there to stop people falling down to the bottom floor. Stop putting thoughtless designs like this on youtube, you give the green movement a bad name.

  3. VertigonA380 says:

You have glass on opposing planes, so even if the glass on one plane was optimised for solar glass, the glass on the shadow plane would be drawing the heat out, if you knew the first thing about thermodynamics you’d know cool elements draw heat from warmer elements. As for it’s active systems-where are they? I don’t see any, no heating or cooling appliances, no roof penetrations no “smart” technology etc.

    @VertigonA380
how can you even say that when you know nothing about the building, it’s location or its active systems. By the way, it’s a preliminary design scheme – so why don’t you use your brain before you shoot your mouth off.

This is amazing! :D hey if you want some more ideas could you please let me know? I have a few ideas that I could see in this house! :D

my neighbours would see by bare ass and shit
    i couldn’t even bend over

  9. PJNNJP says:

No, I didn’t even know what that was until I googled it just now. It looks like a second life kind of thing. We are real architects, who design houses and buildings for real people.

Do you by chance develop for anything like IMVU? This looks SO familiar!

People who live in glass houses ….dress in the basement! Ha. awesome vid though

there are a few options for treating the windows. We modeled all of the glazing as clear glass for now, but some of the panels can be translucent panels – strategically placed. letting the light in and keeping prying eyes out. Also, we have developed a translucent and/or opaque sliding screen system that can be provided on the interior side of the glass. Keep in mind the site conditions that this was meant for, mountainous large acreage plot.

What if I wanted to get naked and my neighbors are outside having a BBQ? Lets just add in the probable factor that they are also drinking a 12 pak of Buds per hour and want to laugh at me. Sounds like a horror story lol

  15. PJNNJP says:

Also, it’s hard to see in the model – but there is a sun shader on the glass facade to help reduce direct solar heat gain in summer months and let the sun hit the glass in the winter months. The balconies also add some shading. Keep in mind that it is all site specific.

I guess privacy isn’t an issue with all the windows.
